THE PROBLEM

Does any of this sound familiar?

4 out of 5 federal student loan servicers failed government accuracy reviews. Most borrowers have no easy way to spot the mistakes. We're building a way to check for you.

๐Ÿ’ธ

You paid, but your balance didn't budge

You sent $400 to your servicer but it went to the wrong loan or just never showed up on your balance.

๐Ÿ“„

You got put on the wrong repayment plan

After a servicer transfer or recertification, you ended up on a plan with higher monthly payments โ€” and nobody told you.

๐Ÿ“…

Your forgiveness timeline keeps getting longer

You made 36 qualifying PSLF payments but your servicer only counted 28. Eight months of progress, gone โ€” unless someone catches it.

๐Ÿ“ˆ

Your balance grew when it shouldn't have

Your servicer put you in forbearance you didn't ask for, and interest got added to your principal โ€” inflating what you owe.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

How it works

Upload your loan data. We check it for red flags. You find out if something looks off.

1

Step 1: Upload your StudentAid.gov file (2 minutes)

You can remove your name and Social Security number before uploading โ€” we don't need them. Everyone who uploads gets a red flag report sent to their email.

2

Step 2: Want the full picture? This step is optional.

Upload your payment history from your servicer's site (MOHELA, Nelnet, etc.) and we can check it line by line for misapplied payments, incorrect interest, uncounted PSLF credits, and forbearance you didn't ask for.

3

Step 3: We'll email you what we find

Your report may take a couple of weeks โ€” we review each file individually. If you only uploaded your StudentAid.gov file, you'll get a red flag summary of what looks off. If you also uploaded your servicer history, you'll get a detailed breakdown of what we found, what it may be costing you, and dispute letters you can send to your servicer.
